Overview

As Quality Lead Auditor, you are responsible for ensuring that our client or its suppliers comply with the automotive standards of ISO9001. You may conduct IATF16949 or VDA6.3 audits at automotive suppliers or you may be involved in plant-wide Process Audits at one of our OEM clients. Our audit process is somewhat unique in that we take a collaborative approach. In addition to compliance, we encourage open communication, guide, support and coach our clients in implementing sustainable solutions. Besides auditing, we support our clients in resolving plant issues by focusing on reviewing and making recommendations to the P-FMEA regarding improvement. We assist our client in preparing for global ISO audits as required.

What you can expect

  • Plan, organize, conduct Process and System audits
  • Verify and manage conformity to ISO9001, IATF16949 or VDA6.3 standards
  • Provide technical support in audits, focusing on risk assessment
  • Ensure conformity to P-FMEA as it relates to the production process
  • Create and maintain required audit documentation
  • Perform post-audit follow up to verify implemented corrective actions
  • Understand our client’s structures, processes and requirements
  • Identify key areas of improvement within our client’s processes and supplier base
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our client and its suppliers, fostering open communication and collaboration
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in automotive Quality standards

What background fits best

  • University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field, Master’s degree preferred
  • 6+ years related relevant professional experience
  • 2+ years with an ISO9001 Lead Auditor certification; IATF16949 or VDA6.3 Lead Auditor preferred
  • 2+ years project management/team leadership experience in supplier management, logistics or similar
  • Strong knowledge of automotive industry standards, including APQP/PPAP, FMEA, 8D-Problem Solving preferred
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • International experience and knowledge of German is a plus
