Overview
As a Senior Consultant for Supplier Management at change2target, you will play a central role in improving our clients’ supplier base towards a high quality and resilient network. You will work with our clients’ suppliers, assessing their performance, resolving the most pressing issues and driving continuous improvement to meet our clients’ quality standards. You will also develop structures, processes and methodologies for our clients to mitigate risk and improve visibility across the supply chain. The role requires travel to various locations of our clients’ plants and their suppliers.
What you can expect
- Understanding the client’s structures, processes and requirements
- Identify key areas of improvement within the client’s supplier base, including part criticality, supply chain risks and supplier performance
- Analyze supplier parts in terms of specifications, processes and issues
- Identify improvement opportunities for suppliers based on data analysis, audits and site visits
- Designing and implementing supplier improvement programs
- Build and maintain close relationships with suppliers, fostering open communication and collaboration
- Leading cross-functional teams to implement quality improvements, cost reduction strategies and supply chain optimization
- Monitor project metrics and report to client management
What background fits best
- University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field, Master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years related relevant professional experience in automotive supplier management, e.g. as an SQA / SQE or in a similar role
- 2+ years project management/team leadership experience in supplier management, logistics or similar
- Good knowledge of automotive industry standards, including APQP/PPAP, FMEA, 8D problem solving; Six Sigma certification (GB/BB/MBB) preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive industry standards, including APQP/PPAP, FMEA, 8D-Problem Solving preferred
- Knowledge of IATF16949 and VDA6.3 standards preferred
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
